And the winner is: Tiffany! Congratulations, Tiffany. I have sent you an email requesting your address. Please respond to that email within four days or I will pick a new winner! Thanks for playing, everyone. Please be sure to come back and visit me here!
Update: Tiffany sent in her address and I mailed her package to her on Saturday, December 12. Cheese should be happy in his new home by now!
According to @NPRnews’s post, It’s Furry, Friendly And Has A ‘Mind’ Of Its Own http://su.pr/3nRgMN, these little guys are pretty tough to find! I had never actually seen one until today and I was shocked to see this little fella strewn aside on a random endcap in a Target store. He looked so lonely sitting there all by himself. He needed a purpose. And oh boy do I have one for him! First off, let’s give him a name. Since I think he is sort of the color of cheese, I am going to call him Cheese. People keep telling me that his name is really Pipsqueak but I think he looks like Cheese.
Anyway, he can be YOURS, if you win him in my random drawing. I will even ship him to you for free. (continental US addresses only) You can enter this contest by commenting to this post and sharing something nice that you did for someone today. Each comment is an entry for the drawing, however, please only enter once a day. Feel free to enter once a day every day until the contest ends. Let’s see how much Pixie Dust we can spread!
On Thursday, December 10, I will randomly select the winning comment number. The person who posted that comment number will win this Zhu Zhu Pets Hamster. I will announce the winner’s screen name at the end of the contest. The winner will then email me their name and address. If the winner doesn’t come forward within four days, then I will pick another winner.

I have a 5 year old that would love one. My heart is broken because I know I won’t be able to get her one but she’ll live without it. I have 3 other children and it will be ok. We enjoy Christmas no matter what there is to open in the morning. : ) Ang
You’re right, perrrfection2005, it is important to enjoy Christmas no matter what there is to open! Thanks for entering. Be sure to return tomorrow so you can tell me about another nice thing that you did and enter the raffle again! My comments don’t end up in the raffle, btw.
My neighbor needs Zhu Zhus! So….the nice thing I did for someone today was that I started stalking Zhu Zhus for her
It would be so cool if I could find one or two for her (she has two kids)….and even cooler if I could get a couple for my own kids too LOL
Zhu’re neighbor’s children are zhur own are lucky to have you! <3
My friend sends her daughter to the Boys and Girls Club after school. she found out at the last minute that they were closed today so she asked if I could pick up and take her daughter home with me. I of course told her yes as I always try to be there to help out a friend.
Zhu saved the day for your friend and her daughter! <3
Hi Tink,
What a Great thing you are doing! Even though I would very much like Cheese for my 6 yr old son, I you choose this post, please donate it to a child in need!
Sending you lots of Pixie Dust from one Disney fan to another!
Jennifer Horton
Zhu’re a sweetie! <3
I found one of these little buddies that I’ve tucked away for a toy drive and I’d love to have Cheese accompany him so 2 kids who wouldn’t normally have much for Christmas could have something to make them smile.
Yay! I <3 toy drives! I have coordinated some ones at work myself! They're a great way to spread Pixie Dust!
Haha I love the name Cheese! I told my friend today how much she means to me. I know it’s a simple thing to do but it can really make someone feel special
It’s true that in life it’s often the smallest things that mean the most! Your friend is lucky to have you!
There are several of us on gottadeal who are helping other parents find these for their kids for Christmas at RETAIL prices (plus shipping).
I have not heard about gottadeal before. Your description sounds wonderful! I hate to see toys hoarded and overpriced. Nice job helping out all of those fellow Moms!
Wow, I can’t believe you actually found one of these in a store!
The nice thing I did for someone today was help my husband’s grandmother pick out some makeup for herself. She’s not able to wear very much due to allergies but we found some mineral makeup and are crossing our fingers that it works!
I know! I couldn’t believe it either. And I was on my lunch break… it wasn’t even when the store opened.
I bet your grandmother had an awesome day! I’ve heard wonderful things about mineral makeup. I bet she’ll love it!! My grandmother is totally into makeup and moisterizers, too. You can see her in the picture in the above post. Would you believe she is 92?
Yesterday I went to my local TRU and was able to get the Funhouse
…but still have no hamster to put in it.
I won’t be able to stand in line at midnight OR pre-dawn to get one of these. I wish the stores would just put them on the shelves when they receive them. To me, that’s the right thing to do.
Anyway – today I’m going to put the hunt aside and try to get some gardening and cleanup done in the public areas of our little community, while the nice weather holds. Hope you all have a nice day too!
TLC toward community spaces from caring citizens like yourself go a long way toward community improvement and it makes a real difference! Many hands makes for light work!
I would love to get pipsqueek and what a neat contest you have set up! Helping others is so rewarding! Today, I got up at a little before 7 to get ready for work, it is pouring down raining and 38 degrees. I look outside and see two little ones at the bus stop, I invited them into my house until the bus pulled up, and gave them some hot cocoa! They were so cold, I was glad I could help them.
Close knit neighborhoods and wonderful neighbors are a good thing! I’m sure your neighbors’ parents were so thankful that you were able to be there and help keep their kids from from getting drenched and warm with cocoa!
I’ve been wiped out by the dreaded flu for the past 4 days (and yes I had a flu shot too obviously to no avail!) so all my shopping and hunting has come to a complete stop. In the mean time when I have been up and out of bed I’ve worked on organizing our Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. I hope everyone remembers that next week is collection week for the shoe boxes. I’d love to win the Zhu Zhu for my 4yr old. Like many have posted, I was able to find one accessory (the slide) but no hampsters as of yet.
Thank you.

Operation Christmas Child Shoe boxes sounds like a fabulous organization! I must learn more about it! It sounds like you are really making a difference. Here’s to a fluless future for you!
I helped my friend with her business.
Where would we be in life without friends? They are so important!
I took care of my husband and the kids. We are all sick
I SO hope your family is feeling better today. There is no tougher work than caring for sick loved ones. Hang in there!
Between working part time as a teacher’s assistant & being a stay at home mom…haven’t had any luck finding the zhu zhu’s! This would be awesome to win!!
I agree. It looks like you have a busy schedule, too! When you return be sure to tell me about one of the nice things that you did for someone else today!
I am in need of Zhu Zhu Pets for my daughter for Christmas. She said I don’t have to worry about finding them at the store because Santa will bring them for her.
I hear you Lori. When you return would you please tell me about your nice thing that you did for someone today! I want to be sure I get to hear your thing!
Hope I win! I have looked EVERYWHERE for the little critters! Sold out everywhere, even my brother works at target and when he puts them out he cant save one for me because people will rip them out of his hands! NO JOKE, seen him put them out before trying to get one but people were crowding around! Sheez people! Anyway awesome website, view it everyday and about to become a member! Thanks Tinkerbell!
Forgot to say something nice I did for somebody so here it is: Everyone in my school was being a jerk to the teacher thinking they are cool but I went up to her and said “Thank you for teaching us and would’nt have done so well in math if it wasn’t for you.” She hugged me then I left.
Thanks again for the great contest!
What a cool contest. Today, I saw a frail , elderly woman having difficulty opening up a heavy public-building glass door. Not only did I open the door but I followed her in, knowing that there was a second set of heavy doors soon after. She thanked me and as I headed back out, she realized that I had gone out of my way to assist her. When I said “You’re welcome” and “have a great day” She smiled and said “I can see your mother raised you right”
That was all the reward I needed. If by some chance I win this contest, please donate it to a local “community christmas” or “secret Santa” organization that provides gifts for children in need.
What a nice contest! I would love a Zhu Zhu pet for my daughter! My nice thing is I invited friends of ours on our family vacation to Disney as we have room in our timeshare. And they said yes!
I helped my mother in law shop today. She just went through chemo and has trouble getting around and gets tired easily.
Volunteered in my Kindergartner’s class today. I actually do this every week. The children love it when I come help and give me loads of hugs! I leave the classroom and smile the whole way home. My little guy would love to get a Zhu Zhu hamster for Xmas. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
I cleaned my mother in law’s house yesterday because she has family coming in for the holidays.
I gave a friend some much needed advice (after she asked for it, of course). She was appreciative of my helpfulness. By the way I love this contest
Great idea!
What a great contest <3
I am always doing something for someone…… Something out of the ordinary? I took half my money saved for Black Friday and bought a family a weeks worth of food…. They've been living on PB&J and hot dogs
I would love to give this to their youngest daughter…. but honestly if I don't get one for my girl I am not sharing
I helped cook and clean for the whole family, all 25 of us, for the last few days along with my sister in law. We’ve had a great holiday!
something nice i did today? ugh. i’ve been so sick the last few days that honestly, i didn’t do anything nice. but i didn’t do anything not nice either. does that count?
my son is dying for these zhu zhu pets. they are impossible to find. so i promised him i would enter every contest on the internet!
I ordered all of my MIL’s medications and put them in her pill case so she doesn’t forget when to take them.
I cooked on Thanksgiving Day and left my family to deliver and sit with an elderly widow who lives alone and has no family in this state. I had a wonderful time listening to her stories while my family had to wait for me to return to have dinner with them. I already talked to her and told her I’ll do the same for Christmas.
I found out yesterday that a friend needs two Zhu Zhus for her two nieces. She was asked to get them, didn’t know what they were and certainly didn’t know how hard they are to get! So I’ve spent the whole day at the computer trying to find them for her (plus one for my own kiddo.) No luck yet, but I’ll keep trying!
I helped an older woman at church today. She was struggling to open the door, so I opened it and held it for her. You think most people would help, but no one else offered. She seemed thankful.
My dad hurt his ankle this weekend, so I spent most of the weekend helping him because my mom was out of town. Thanks so much for the giveaway!
Did I win your Zhu Zhu pet giveaway? If so Woo hoo! I saw it posted but for some reason I didn’t get an email. I tried to email you at your email listed here but it got bounced back. Please email me again or let me know which email to email you at
I got your email and responded! Thank you so much! Cheese will be so happy here
I loved your idea for this contest too <3
